BELLICOSUS

Bellicosus is one of the mysterious Lords of the Dead, and the Grand War General of their armies. His origins, as with all of the Lords, is shrowded in secrecy. His powers, likewise, are unknown, but in order to be one of the Five, they must be considerable, or he would never have survived the initiation.

He has led the undead in their spread across the land. Though he leads from his throne, he is in direct mental contact with his generals and troops.

Among the Lords, he considers himself the mightiest, though the other Lords see him as arrogant and stubborn when he believes he is right. He and Libitnia are constantly at each others' throats, and their bickering and infighting have actually prevented the Lords from conquering as quickly as they might if they could just get along.

What is known about Bellicosus, though, is that in life, he was obsessed with warfare, and cut a bloody empire for himself in a far-off land centuries ago. He was obsessed with acquiring the Helm of Bakellus, an ancient artifact said to have been created by Bakellus, a mythical warrior some call the God of War. It was this helmet that has given him the power to become a Lord of the Dead and control the legions of the dead that fall within the borders of the Deadlands.
