the NAMELESS ONE

So much can be said about the Nameless One, but naturally little can be proven.  It is said that he has been around for thousands of years, wandering the land gathering powerful artifacts, pulling the strings behind thrones, and altering the lives of people wherever he walks.

Once he was a mighty elf, though none can say of what tribe he heralded from, which is odd indeed, because elves know their history for countless ages, and one as notable as he who would become the Nameless One would surely be remembered.

His powers come from foul Necromancy, an art forbidden by the civilized races, and almost forgotten in the present age (except by the most powerful ancient Liches and the like residing within the Deadlands).

Nameless is perhaps the most dangerous of the Lords of the Dead, because he seems to "know all" (see the Lords of the Dead).  His powerful scrying magics allow him to view any events the world over, and other mysterious abilities that even the other Lords can't penetrate allow him to seem to know the future.  Naturally, he always speaks cryptically, as if dangling an answer before their eyes that they can not understand until after the event has passed and it has become all too obvious what he had meant.  However he does it, he always seems to be many steps ahead of everyone, while seemingly traveling very little, and laughing to himself as everyone else struggles to keep up.

Likewise, while he appears to do very little, and never forces his desires on the rest of the Lords, they always end up doing exactly what he had wanted.  Rather than see him as a threat, though, they are all vying for his support in their individual endeavors, believing that if they could get him as an ally, the balance of power would change in their favor.  Nameless, however, has his own agenda.  And he doesn't need anyone else's help.
