N.I.C.E. REVIEW OF THE PROMO ISSUE

The following Review for the black and white Promotional Issue appeared in Mile High Comics' monthly N.I.C.E. News magazine in December of 1999 (Vol. 14, #12).  Sean "boykind" Scott did the review.

My second "review" is not of an actual issue, but rather of a promotional issue that was given to us by Zak Hennessey and Lodestone Publishing.  The book, entitled Lazarus, the Many Reincarnations, appears to be a fantasy/horror mixture, with heavy reliance on visual impact.  The promo issue we have doesn't give much insight into the story, but does have many black and white examples of the artwork.  The penciling is very much in the Image style, with lots of gore and gratuitous sexuality.  Without actual scripting, it is difficult to give a fair review of the book, but I will say that it should  be visually stimulating, not unlike Battle Chasers or Aria.  But why trust my opinion?  We have a couple thousand copies of this promo issue that we are more than willing to send to N.I.C.E. customers free of charge.  However, due to the mature nature of some of the artwork, we will only send them to customers who order it.  So if you would like to check out this title, just mark it off on your order form and we will be happy to send you one.  As a further bonus, we do have a number of copies signed by Zak Hennessey, which we will ship on a first come, first served basis.

Mile High Comics can be reached at www.milehighcomics.com.  They are probably sold out of the promo issue.  Those things went really fast.  If you can find a copy, buy it.  There are less than 5000 in existence.
