HIGH PRIESTESS SOPHANIA

Sophania is the youngest Child to hold the rank of High Priestess in the history of the Children of the Risen and Rerisen.  She is the protege of Gormus the High, who raised her from infancy to be the Reverend Mother of the Child of the Rerisen, and bear the child that would save the world.  The father of this child is believed to be Lazarus, who, it is rumored, has died and risen numerous times.

Sophania is intelligent and crafty.  She loves her position as High Priestess, and can't wait to flex her muscle as the Reverend Mother.  She has secret goals and plans that none but her know, and one day she hopes to be the supreme power of the Children.

On the night that she gave herself to Lazarus, she knew that her dreams would one day be fulfilled.  Her orders were to take Lazarus' seed, and ensure that he is none the wiser of the true intentions of the Children.  This she did, and she fully believes that Lazarus is unaware of any ulterior motives (though he knows that something is going on, and he doesn't fully trust her).

The people, and even wise Gormus, see Sophania as the perfect woman.  She is sweet, honest, and has the best interests of the Children in her heart (they believe).  Every last Child would give their life for her protection and the protection of the child inside her, the future of mankind.

As the days burn away and the end approaches, Sophania's plans begin to come to light.  But those plans are not to be revealed here. . .
